Call For Papers
The Joint ISPRS workshop on 3D city modelling & applications and the 6th 3D GeoInfo aim at bringing together international researchers from academia, industry and government in the field of 3D city modelling and application. Full 3D city modeling is becoming an increasingly important area of research and development with a wide array of applications including urban planning and management, infrastructure design and development, emergency response, and so on. Important research problems arise from data collection and processing, 3D model reconstruction and updating, database management and collaboration, 3D exploration, analysis, design, visualization and many more. The joint workshop provides a forum for foreland research and development contributions covering all aspects of 3D virtual city environment.
Conference Topics (but are not limited to)
- 3D city model requirements (based on analysis of applications) and presentations
- 3D data acquisition and processing (based on CAD, LiDAR, image or video)
- 3D city model reconstruction, building modelling (outdoor and indoor integration)
and other aspects of aboveground and belowground city modelling
- 3D GIS and time / 4D models
- 3D spatial database design, management and collaboration
- 3D mobile mapping
- 3D geometry and topology; levels of detail (scale, resolution)
- 3D visualization, augmented and virtual reality
- 3D spatial data infrastructures and 3D data integration
- 3D routing and navigation
- 3D exploration, analysis, and design
- 3D applications (e.g., 3D cadastre, 3D utilities, 3D city and urban planning, disaster
and risk management, environmental simulation, training simulation
- 3D model completeness of automatic methods
- the link between remote sensing/interpretation and pgotogrammetry/3D modeling
- modeling city dynamics such as traffic streams etc
Publications
Researchers are invited to submit full papers (up to 6000 words) describing original and unpublished fundamental scientific research. All manuscripts will be subject to a double-blind review process. Accepted papers will be included in the Workshop CD recorded by LIESMARS (The copyright of the article remain with the authors) and chosen as oral presentation at the conference. Selected papers will be published in the Springer (Templates) Book series. A selection of high-quality papers will be recommended to a special issue of " Computers, Environment and Urban Systems "(Templates)and a special issue of " Geo-spatial Information Science ".
