Prof. Long Quan
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Prof. Long Quan is a professor in the Departmentof Computer Science of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests focus on 3D Reconstruction, Structure from Motion, Vision Geometry, and Image-based Modeling.

His talk will review the state of the art of the three dimensional reconstruction of buildings and cities from images. In particular, buildings and large-scale city modeling will be presented. Part of the content is from the recent book, ¡®Image-based Modeling', to appear in April 2010 by Springer.

Prof. Thomas H. Kolbe
Technische Universitaet Berlin

Prof. Thomas H.Kolbe is a professor in the Department Methods of Geoinformation Science of Technische University Berlin.

He will talk about the status and roadmap of OGC standard-CityGML.

Prof.TSOU Jin-Yeu
The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Prof. Tsou is a Professor in the Department of Architecture; the Director of the Architecture Computer Laboratory; the Director of the Center for Housing Innovations; and the Associate Director of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Sciences, the Chinese University of Hong Kong .

Prof.Sisi Zlatanova
Delft University of Technology

Dr. Sisi Zlatanova is an associate professor at the GIS Tecnology section, Delft University of Technology and leading the Theme Group ¡®Geo-information for Crisis Management¡¯ at the section. Her research interests are in 3D geo-information: 3D data structures, 3Dgeo-databases, 3D spatial relationships (topology) and 3D visualisation(VR and AR).

She will talk about "Towards Intelligent 3D city models".
