Prof. Long Quan is a professor in the Departmentof Computer Science of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests focus on 3D Reconstruction, Structure from Motion, Vision Geometry, and Image-based Modeling. |
His talk will review the state of the art of the three dimensional reconstruction of buildings and cities from images. In particular, buildings and large-scale city modeling will be presented. Part of the content is from the recent book, ‘Image-based Modeling', to appear in April 2010 by Springer. |
