Academician Deren Li attended the technical exchange meeting on the construction of unmanned stations for oil and gas fields and long-distance pipelines in China

On March 17, the technical exchange meeting on the construction of unmanned stations for oil and gas fields and long-distance pipelines in China was opened in Hangzhou. Academician Deren Li, director of the academic committee of LIESMARS, attended the opening ceremony and gave a report on “Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence”.
Academician Deren Li introduced the new infrastructure, 5G and 6G, Beidou+ and +Beidou, and the development history from digitalization to intelligence.

Academician Li pointed out that energy is an important strategic resource for national development, and China’s oil and gas resources are abundant and widely distributed, so it is important to carry out research and application of unattended oil and gas fields and long-distance pipelines in the era of new infrastructure. The new infrastructure is an infrastructure system that is led by the new development concept, driven by technological innovation, based on information network, and oriented to the needs of high-quality development, providing services such as digital transformation, intelligent upgrading, and convergence and innovation. According to the requirements of industrial digitization and digital industrialization, it is necessary to build a smart city based on 5G, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence based on the digital twin idea, and realize the transition from digitalization to intelligent systems. Spatio-temporal big data based on sky-ground integrated Earth observation and Beidou navigation can make important contributions to digital China and smart China.

It is reported that with the deep integration of digitalization and industrialization, the oil and gas industry has accelerated the development and application of automation and intelligence technologies, and steadfastly taken the road of new industrialization and informatization. “Unmanned” operation has gradually become a key support for digital transformation, intelligent development, strengthening essential safety, improving system efficiency, controlling and reducing operation costs, while achieving high-quality development of oil and gas fields and pipeline enterprises.
With the theme of “Strengthen the construction and application of unmanned operation to promote the high-quality development of oil and gas field and pipeline business”, the conference attracted more than 600 experts and scholars from the fields of oil and gas storage and transportation, oil and gas exploration, mobile communication, unmanned aircraft, etc. The conference was organized by the Storage and Transportation Committee of China Petroleum Institute.
