The international symposium on the spatially integrated humanality and social sciences was hosted by the East China Normal University in Shanghai on June 24, 2018. The conference was co-organized by the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographical Information Sciences and the China Association of Regional Science.
The symposium mainly discusses the application of geographic information system in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, discusses the theory, method and platform system for the establishment of spatial comprehensive human literature and social science, and shares the ideas and consensus of promoting the integration of the humanities, social sciences, computational science, geography science, and the development of new social intelligence science. Professor Qin Kun and Dr. Lu Binbin delivered the reports entitled "the spatial interaction network analysis method of social geography computing" and "multiscale heterogeneity relationship estimation in multiple geographic weighted regression analysis" respectively.
At the symposium, Professor Qin Kun announced that the "10th international symposium on the spatially integrated humanality and social sciences" and the "2nd seminar on geocomputation for social sciences" will be held in Wuhan in June 2019. At the Wuhan meeting, experts and scholars from home and abroad are welcome to participate. The latest developments in the study of spatial integrated humanities and Social Sciences, as well as social geography computing will be discussed.
