The 2019 International Workshop on Geocomputation for Social Sciences and Intelligent Geospatial Information Service will be held in Wuhan, China on July 7-9, 2019. This workshop is organized and hosted by Wuhan University.
In order to further cope with the new developments, demands, technologies and challenges of the research field in geocomputation for social sciences and intelligent geospatial services, promote the interdisciplinary research and academic exchanges among researchers, Wuhan University organizes this international workshop to discuss the frontier and hot issues in the related fields. Experts, scholars, professionals and students at home and abroad interested in the workshop are welcomed to attend and participate.
The workshop also provides the technical training on methods, tools and platforms in the field of geocomputation for social sciences. Interested scholars and students are welcome to register.

4. Registration
Registration fee
Full Registration: 3000 CNY or 435 USD
Student Registration: 2000 CNY or 290 USD
Senior Registration: 2000 CNY or 290 USD (over 65 years old)
Registration refund policy
Cancellations before June 1, 2019, 50% will be retained. After June 1, 2019 no refund.

4) The digital receipt showing that you have successfully paid for the registration fee.
5. Publications
Authors can choose to submit either an extended abstract or a full paper (but not both). Authors of accepted extended abstract or full paper will be invited to give oral (or poster) presentations at the workshop. Acceptance priority will be given to submissions with concrete research results. Publications include CD-ROM and Special issue in peer-reviewed journals.
A selection of high quality papers will be recommended to the Special Issue on Geocomputation for Social Sciences, Geo-spatial Information Science (ISBN 1009-5020). All article publishing charges will be covered by Wuhan University, so you can enjoy the benefits of open access at no cost.
6. Technical Training Session
The workshop offers the technical training session based on the GeoDa spatial analysis open platform, which is developed by the Center for Spatial Data Science in the University of Chicago, and introduces the Geoda roadmap, progress and secondary development. By taking GeoDa localization and multilingual version development as an example, this training session introduces the extension development of GeoDa. The training language is in Chinese.
The deadline for the technical training session is May 30, 2019, and the registration fee is 1500 CNY (For Chinese participants only). Cancellations before June 1, 2019, 50% will be retained. After June 1, 2019 no refund.
