Prof. Jianya Gong
Professor Gong Jianya is a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is now the director of Wuhan University’s School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Mapping and Remote Sensing.He was born in Zhangshu, Jiangxi Province in April, 1957. He graduated from the Department of Surveying of East China Geosciences Institute in 1982 and received his doctor degree from Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping in 1992. He was selected as the member of CAS in 2011. He was awarded China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists, and got the titles of "Changjiang Scholar" Professor of Ministry of Education, 973 project chief scientist, academic leader of Innovative Research Groups of China’s National Natural Science Foundation, etc.

Professor Luc Anselin
Luc Anselin is the Stein-Freiler Distinguished Service Professor of Sociology and the College at the University of Chicago, where he is also Director of the Center for Spatial Data Science, Chair of the Committee on Geographical Sciences, and Senior Fellow NORC. Anselin received his PhD in Regional Science from Cornell University. He was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences in 2008 and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011. He is also a Fellow of the Spatial Econometric Society and of the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science. In 2005 he was honored with the Walter Isard Prize, and in 2006, he received the prestigious Alonso Memorial Prize for Innovative Work in Regional Science.

Prof. Shuming Bao
Shuming Bao received his Ph. D. in applied economics from Clemson University. He is currently the director of the China Data Research Institute, and the co-director of the Geocomputation Center for Social Sciences at Wuhan University. He was a faculty member of the Institute of Social Research (ISR)/the Inter-University Consortium of Political and Social Sciences Research (ICPSR) and the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, . He was the founding director of the Key Lab of Poyang Lake Watershed and Wetland of the Ministry of Education at Jiangxi Normal University from 2004 to 2009, and the founding director of the Lab for Urban and Regional Analysis of East China University of Science and Technology from 2009 to current. He is currently serving as the General Secretary of the Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Science (CPGIS) and the Executive Director of the Chinese Economists Society (CES) , and the Senior Editor of the international Journal of Emerging Markets. Dr. Bao has published more than 80 papers in the areas of GIS, regional economics, and spatial data analysis.
