Postdoctoral positions at the GeoComputation Center for Social Sciences, Wuhan University
The Geocomputation Center for Social Sciences (GCSS) was established at Wuhan University in Jan. 2018, as a joint effort by the Center for Spatial Data Science at the University of Chicago. The center is hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Survey and Remote Sensing Information Engineering at Wuhan University.
The GeoComputation Center for Social Sciences of Wuhan University has several open positions for postdoctoral researchers. Those recruited postdocs will be invited by the Spatial Data Science Center of the University of Chicago for their postdoc research and will spend one of the two years at Wuhan University in China.
Research Fields:
Spatial Statistics and Modeling
Spatial Intelligent Data Analysis
Big Data Analytics
Qualifications:
Ph.D. (obtained the Doctor's degree less than 3 years) or Ph.D. candidate in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, GIS or other related disciplines.
The applicant should be under 35 years old (including 35 years old), and conduct the full-time research work.
Benefits:
1. Wages and welfare benefits shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State and Wuhan University for postdoctoral students.
2. The annual salary ranges from 180,000 to 300,000 RMB, and the specific salary and research funds of the outstanding persons are negotiable.
3. Provide temporary accommodation for postdoctoral students.
