Geo-Spatial Information Science holds its 2020 Editorial Board Meeting

On November 12, 2020, at 8 p.m. Beijing Time, the 2020 editorial board meeting of Geo-Spatial Information Science (GSIS), was successfully held online. Thirty-three editorial board members from China, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and other countries gathered in the online conference room to conduct a review and outlook around GSIS periodicals. The meeting was chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Academician Li, Deren.

Academician Li, Deren informed the International Editorial Board of the good news of the journal’s entrance into the SCI-E database. Professor Wu, Huayi of Wuhan University, Editor-in-Chief of GSIS, reported on the publication of the journal for 2019-2020 and the promotion measures of the editorial department. The editorial board selected 5 editorial board members, 15 reviewers, and 4 outstanding papers from the 22 years since GSIS was founded. Academician Li Deren announced the winners at the meeting.

Professor John van Genderen, Deputy International Editor from the Netherlands, suggested that the editorial board should be expanded once GSIS entered the SCI-E database. Dr. Kelly Andrew, of the T.F. Publishing Group, reported to the editorial board members on GSIS’s publication for 2020.
