Big data driven human dynamics oriented observation and spatiotemporal applications

Human dynamics oriented observation and spatiotemporal applications are research frontier in geography and GIScience.
We try to build up some spatiotemporal models of urban dynamics, analyze the spatiotemporal behavoir patterns of urban mobility.
What's more, we try to optimize and research the human activities, vehicile trajectories and functional locations of sites in region and urban environments by using the multiobjective optimization theory and several evolutionary algoirthms. And we also try to investigate the basic rule of urban mobility or dynamics, and develop some new algorithms to help planners and agencies to achieve sustainable an optimized design on the field of location, routing and transportation.

Spatial understanding for smart pedestrian navigation

Spatial cognition is concerned with the acquisition, organization, utilization, and revision of knowledge about spatial environments. and Dynamic navigation and location-based serivces are hot research topics in GIScience.
We try to understand pedestrians' cognition load (i.e. time) of landmark in Geo-environments, as this understanding helps people to realize, adapt and make full use of geo-environments efficiently, and even to build up a behavoir-sensing based navigation Theory and methods for support a smart pedestrian navigation.
